Why are backups so important? We've all heard the horror stories of people losing their family photos or important work documents due to a computer crash. We'd recommend using a combination of an external hard drive and cloud storage. This way, you'll have a local copy of your files and a backup in case something happens to your external drive. The frequency of backups depends on how often you use your computer and how important your data is. If you use your computer for work, you might want to back up your files daily. For home users, a weekly backup is usually sufficient. What about password security? A strong password is essential to protect your data from unauthorized access.
